Teams get real value from AI when people know how to use it for their specific work. Training should be practical, role-based and ongoing.
1. Start with real tasks
Ask each person to list their most repetitive or time-consuming tasks. Those are the best starting points.
2. Teach the fundamentals
Cover clear prompting, giving context, checking outputs, privacy rules and the limits of AI. One hour is enough to start.
3. Run hands-on sessions
Short workshops where people bring a real task and solve it with AI together are more effective than lectures.
4. Build a shared prompt library
Collect prompts that work for your team's tasks, with examples, in a shared document or tool.
5. Appoint champions
Enthusiastic team members can help others, share tips and collect feedback.
6. Measure and share wins
Track time saved or quality improvements and share success stories to encourage adoption.
7. Make it safe to experiment
Encourage people to try things, share failures and ask questions, within the rules of your AI policy.
